About the work

This is a piece where musicians are given a structure from which they construct and perform a piece. The structure is flexible enough to accommodate everyone from complete beginners and people who do not read music through to gifted improvisers.

Technical notes

The piece consists of a chord sequence and a set of instructions, which range from playing a drone, making music from the chord sequence, and playing an invented rhythmic figures.
