Technical notes

The piece is conventionally notated, but with some difficult effects and rhythms. It begins with a long harmonic on the violin, joined by the cello, and the vibraphone, which is is first interrupted by piano chords and then semi-quaver passages, and then finally a passage for the vocalist supported by the other instruments.
