Dorian Loops
Brooker, Graham
About the work
Dorian Loops started as an experiment sparked by a suggestion made in ‘Acorn User’ magazine. The cover disc attached to the October 1997 issue included a program called ‘Expound’, which enabled the user to construct recursive sentences. The editors made the suggestion that the program might be applicable to music. Why not, I thought, and Dorian Loops was the result. I do not make vast claims for it as a piece of music, but I think it makes a not displeasing effect.
