About the work

Flux explores themes of emergence, dissolving and fluidity. The relationship between the chordal accompaniment and melody interchanges throughout the piece, each determining the next harmonic shift at different points. A full melody gradually forms from the initially disjointed melodic material, becoming clear towards the end of the piece when these motifs are connected by all players.
