About the work

‘Rough Guide to Poland’, written for CoMA Voices, is in two short movements. The text of the first movement consists of a list of places I’ve visited in Poland, including Cracow, Torun, Bialystok, Poznan, Kazimierz Dolny, Radom, Zakopane, Wilanow, Bielska Biala, Katowice, Deblin, Konin, Bytom, Wroclaw, Gubno and Warsaw. The second movement is a list of cafes and bars that I frequented as a student in Warsaw (Pod Galeria, Harenda, Morgans, John Bull, Bazaar) and the chorus consists of a list of Polish beers (Zywiec, Lech, Okocim).
