The piece was commissioned by Crouch End Festival Chorus. It takes flamenco as its starting point, and contains an entertaining array of ululations, groans, footstamping, and finger clicking.

Technical notes

The piece has no metre or pulse, and the conductor will need to cue each group entry. The piece consists of a series of figures which are repeated for approximate durations. A wide range of vocal effects are called for.
