About the work

Each player reads the same written music, but exercises their own choices about transposition and timing. The result is an unpredictable poly-modal round with quirky harmony and rhythmic vitality. One of a series of pieces of Postcard Music published by the Forum London Composers’ Group.

Technical notes

Suitable for a mixed ensemble of any size, but works best with 4-8 players, and several different transposing instruments. Players all read the same notes but have some freedom about the timing of their entries and their chosen transposition.
