CoMAM East (Firewire) is a lively and adventurous ensemble based in Colchester, Essex; we have been active for many years, since the foundation of CoMA itself.
Our ensemble includes performers and composers – and include several members active in drama, poetry and art – and their role in music creation.
Rehearsals
We rehearse monthly in central Colchester; at present in the Quaker Meeting House. In pre-COVID times, we developed projects with other venues in the Town, including the Firstsite Art Gallery, and the Colchester Institute. We have often responded to particular buildings and acoustics, including local churches and museums.
