About the project
This online project reached participants from Shetland to India and was devised and led by composer and sound artist Duncan Chapman. Over the course of four 2-hour zoom sessions Duncan took the group on a journey of shapes, spaces and sounds found in our surrounding landscapes. This was used as a stimulus to create a brand new group composition using images from participants and the musical material recorded during the zoom sessions. Participants also contributed individual responses chosen from the collective bank of visual materials. We are delighted with the resulting piece and feel a sense of pride in the work we have created, bringing landscapes from across the globe together in one sonic space and making new links for future friendship and collaboration.
