A group of players from CoMA took part in a performance of 'The Ebb of Acrophobia' by Lawrence Reed at Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth at midday on 13 July. The work formed part of Antony Gormley's living monument 'One And Other', where ordinary people occupy the plinth for one hour each, every hour for 100 days. In the piece, Lawrence confronted his acrophobia, or fear of heights, by conducting a group of musicians from the plinth in a work which included breaking up the word 'acrophobia' into its constituent syllables, and playing chord sequences with a fearful emotion.

CoMA joins heady combination at Rich Mix

We are delighted to announce that CoMA is now located in a new office within Rich Mix, a multi-arts centre in Shoreditch.

Rich Mix is a flagship arts and cultural centre incorporating a three-screen cinema, a performing arts venue, bar, café and gallery. Its artistic programme includes art, performance, fashion, design, music, dance, film, theatre and comedy. In addition to its own offices Rich Mix incorporates a number of workspaces in which it hosts other arts organisations, referred to as 'partners' - the idea being that organisations can collaborate, help each other and bounce ideas off each other. As one of these partners, CoMA joins a number of high profile organisations across all the arts including BBC London, Drake Music, Asian Dub and Ethical Fashion Forum.
