The recently formed CNMC will present a performance-workshop on a range of pieces including extracts from Stockhausen’s Aus den Sieben Tagen, Oliveros’ Rock Piece, and a work devised collaboratively by the group. This participatory presentation will explore questions relating to the nature of a score, relationships between music and our environment, and approaches to collaborative working.

The Cardiff New Music Collective is a group of performers and composers based at Cardiff University interested in exploring contemporary repertoire together. The group was formed in November 2017 and aims to provide a safe space for the sharing of musical ideas, and the blurring of boundaries between composer, performer, and audience.
