We are exploring words and music, with a weekend of workshops and performances, in partnership with Nottingham’s DIY Poets and with XYZ Theatre, at Leicester University. We will be working on musical interpretations of, and responses to, poetry and on compositions where words are integral to the music.
We welcome all comers to daytime workshops on Saturday and Sunday, 3rd & 4th March at Leicester University’s Fraser Noble Building. We will finish on Sunday evening with a performance of XYZ’s The Host, and performances, by all comers, DIY Poets and CoMA East Midlands, of work rehearsed and developed in the workshops.
To book your place as a participant, email Anna Claydon (co-ordinator of CoMA East Midlands) at e.anna.claydon@gmail.com. Please let Anna know if you play an instrument or use your voice, or if you are a poet or interested in the dramatic side of things. All are welcome, from age 14 upwards (a DBS certified person will be present).
Salaried adults full weekend £20, Unsalaried adults and under-18s full weekend £10
