Strip away the frills of multiple instruments and experience the sonorities and timbres of wooden instruments through Reich’s seminal work Music for Pieces of Wood.  By focusing on pure rhythms and using what perhaps were some of humankind’s first instruments, this workshop explores the very heart of percussion. Open to all comers. Some musical experience would be helpful.
