Overview

The Festival gave Bath Spa University student composers and musicians a chance to engage with grass-roots musical movements. The synergy between institutional and community music needs to be nurtured for new music to flourish.

Festival events in Bath took place on Saturday 7 March. In the morning, CoMA Bristol workshopped pieces composed for the Festival by Bath Spa University students. In the evening CoMA Bristol and Bath Spa New Music each performed a set and then joined together to play Festival commissions.
