Two days of events for players and singers of all abilities. All are welcome.
Friday 2 March – VOCAL MUSIC
During the day, there will be all-comers workshop sessions on CoMA’s part-songs and other repertoire for amateur and mixed-ability choirs, a “Make a Piece” session on collaborative composition, and a workshop-performance of graphic scores.
In the evening, Cardiff University’s Contemporary Music Group presents “Welsh Voices” a concert of contemporary Welsh choral repertoire, including pieces prepared by participants during the day’s workshops.
We are very sorry to announce that all events in the Cardiff CoMA events have had to be postponed as Cardiff University has closed all buildings. We will re-schedule any cancelled events, and will circulate the dates and information in due course.
Saturday 3 March – INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
The celebrated Fidelio Trio will lead workshops on instrumental music for all comers during the day, and Ty Cerdd hosts a panel of composers and performers discussing issues around contemporary music, collaboration and community.
This is followed by an evening concert by the Fidelio Trio of contemporary chamber music, also with contributions from the day’s participants.
Come for both days, or for one.
Tŷ Cerdd is offering travel bursaries, on a first-come-first-served basis, to participants coming from outside south-east Wales – email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
