I am dedicating this piece to the Barcelona Pavilion, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich. The composition, a musical memory of my visit to the Pavilion, is designed to give performers freedom in their choice of notes and interpretation, meaning no two renditions will ever sound the same.
