Morning Sun was written for the CoMA Mid-Winter Composers Course 2024 for amateur string orchestra. This lush piece depicts the trajectory of the sun from dawn to noon, with a gradual progression to the climax. There are many moments of brightness that you can spot during the piece, and together they bring the music closer and closer to the dazzling sun at noon.
