CoMA Sheffield was formed online during lockdown. We had our first in person rehearsal in June 2021 and have been meeting monthly since September 2021. We are ably led by composer Louise Vincent and much of what we play is written by members of the ensemble.
In March 2022 we launched CoMA Sheffield publically with a workshop and concert featuring new pieces by Non-Classical Composer Emily Abdy and University of Sheffield composition student Jane Sophia
We have great plans for the year ahead including workshops with The Hermes Experiment in December and an all comers workshop and concert in March 2024 as part of CoMA’s Festival of Contemporary Music.

We welcome players, composers and singers. All abilities and experience welcome. You do not need to be able to read music.
Get in touch with email@example.com if you would like to get involved, or would just like to know more about contemporary music.
This year we are meeting at St. Andrew’s Church, Upper Hanover Street, S3 7RQ.
We meet monthly, usually on Thursdays towards the end of the month and all rehearsals are 7-9 pm unless otherwise stated.
We meet in the Committee Room. Enter the church by the side entrance on the right and it is the first room on the left.
The church is a short walk from the University of Sheffield tram stop. There is free evening parking in the car park on Broomspring Lane very close to the church. If the car park is full there is also free evening parking in the streets just past the car park.
