We’re pleased to announce the winners of Composing for and by all – Open Score Composition Competition Berlin 2025, a contest held in partnership with KNM Campus Ensemble and the society Neue Musik für Alle.

Open to professional and amateur composers alike, the contest attracted entries from professional, amateur and student composers from across Europe, Australia, North and South America and China.

The first prize went to Max Wilson for A Vision Port, while second and third place were awarded to Brian Ledwidge Flynn for Perpetual Motion and Marco Wedel for Gemeinsamkeiten. Après by Brooke Green also earned a special mention.

As well as joining CoMA’s music catalogue, the chosen pieces will be rehearsed and performed by the CoMA Allcomers Orchestra at KNM Campus Days during the Klangwerkstatt Berlin festival in November: if you’d like to join them, visit the link below to find out more and register.
