The programme will include flexibly scored works by CoMA composers Paul Burnell and Fergus Hall (a commission from Sound Scotland), music for trumpet & ensemble by Rob Hall, and an interpretation of a graphic score by percussionist Trevor Taylor.

ENSEMBLE PLUS Emily, Sophie, Thomas, Suri, Sandy, Paul, Patrick (strings) Summer (cello/perc) Antony, Mia (brass) Daniel (guitar) Sylvester (accordian) Elizabeth (piano) Renee (piano/perc) Shionka (piano) Jacob Hall (drums) Victor (trumpet soloist) Rob Hall (direction).

MUSIC PLUS Plus Ensemble comprises all the Junior instrumentalists. This adaptive mid-sized ensemble class explores, workshops, rehearses and performs non-mainstream music including improvised approaches and flexibly scored works. Whilst many members play their first study instrument, second studies are also encouraged to further diversify the group. Links are made with active composers and improvisers to provide a real-world dimension. Past performances and recordings have included CoMA Festival of Contemporary Music 2022, St Mary’s Music School Jazz Concert and Easter Concert, and a lockdown video piece Music for About 14 Musicians inspired by Steve Reich.

The Cathedral is wheelchair-accessible.  There is an accessible toilet in the Cathedral Hall (Walpole Hall, 3min walk away).  A sound system with a hearing loop is also available. Please contact CoMA if you will require use of the hearing loop (info@coma.org).
