KEMS Contemporary Ensemble welcomes instrumentalists of all abilities and backgrounds to join them for a workshop and performance of a new work ‘Sound Scape’, which was created especially for the KEMS Contemporary ensemble by members Lorna Green and Julia Harding.
In Sound Scape, the players create their own landscape of sound using the melodic and rhythmic material in the score – it sounds different every time! This workshop is open to any curious instrumentalist who plays a melodic instrument – the music is flexibly-scored, and players can adapt the parts to suit their own playing ability and instrumental ranges.
