CoMA East Midlands presents 'All at Sea'

Kingswood Methodist Church and Community Centre, Wollaton, Nottingham, Wollaton, UK

A concert of new music by the East Midlands CoMA Ensemble.

We are delighted to feature a brand new commission for the Festival from nonclassical artist in residence Kendra Chiagoro-Noel (NWAKKE). NWAKKE is working with CoMA East Midlands to inform their composition.

The Ensemble also perform three works written for CoMA by Judith Weir (Master of the King’s Music) including her imaginative, semi-improvised suite “All at Sea”.

Judith Weir – Sinfonia Comatica

Judith Weir – Suite “All at Sea”
First Waves
Dangerous Navigation
White Film

Kendra Chiagoro-Noel (NWAKKE) – Strange Lands that Look Like Home (World Premiere)

Tony Harris – There will be Gales

Alison O’Melia – E(n)D

Judith Weir – Symphony of Spitalfields

Everyone is welcome. Experience the musically wild, weird and unexpected with plenty of humour thrown in and some great cake! The event will be preceded by refreshments.
